CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Silke is the co-founder and president of Schuler Educational Consulting. Her experience with business, professional and civic organizations provides a strong foundation for delivering quality counseling to students and their families. Silke understands that every child has a unique college opportunity, and she helps guide them to success as they select just the right school.
Silke worked in the medical device industry in Germany as a product manager for Stryker Instruments and as a key account manager for Johnson & Johnson. She received her BA in international studies with a business minor from Long Island University and an MBA in management with a marketing minor from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Silke studied French in Switzerland and worked as an au pair in France. She completed an internship at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, supported host families and mentored au pairs for a US agency, and worked for a German bank in NYC.
These diverse experiences helped shape Silke’s worldview about the power of education to create a positive impact for every family. The Schuler process provides high-touch and high-tech counseling, and Silke combines her business, community and family leadership roles to deliver just the right services for the college selection journey. She and her husband Tino help our youth select the perfect place for them to succeed in the changing global marketplace.
While raising Emily (17 and a senior), Sophie (15, sophomore) and William (13, 8th-grade), Silke volunteers at their schools and at Foster Closet, a community organization that supports foster families. She enjoys volunteering, spending time with family, reading, cooking and traveling.
